The third webinar session hosted by NCPCAR was successfully held on the 11th of March, 2019 regarding ‘Palliative Care Assessment’ with Dr. Noreen Chan as the speaker of the programme who is a Senior Consultant and the Head of the Division of Palliative Care, NCIS, Singapore. We were able to witness this rare opportunity of hosting such a series of webinars thankful to Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network (APHN), as a result of their quarterly palliative care webinar series commenced as part of the World Hospice Palliative Care Day celebrations. This webinar series so far has been a great success and the support rendered by Dr. Chandima and Dr. Chamath in organizing such events is truly inspiring.
The session was held from 12.00pm to 1.00 p.m at the Conference Room, Department of Family Medicine and the webinar was indeed a highly resourceful session for all the palliative care professionals and students. All the participants were highly impressed on how important and timely the topic was and apart from the presentation, it also allowed post session discussions which added an additional value for the whole programme.
This was an excellent opportunity indeed for all who are interested in the field of Palliative Care to learn from, discuss with and raise questions to international experts in the field of palliative care. We were pleased to observe the enthusiasm of the attendees in learning new things and to see how committed and dedicated they are in the pursuit of learning. This is truly the main objective behind hosting such programmes and NCPCAR will continue to organize similar events in order to provide valuable opportunities for the local individuals in exploring the field of palliative care and to improve their knowledge and skills.
